About me
My focus in therapy is on helping clients change their relationships with themselves. Whether it’s because of anxiety, depression, low-self esteem, or the legacy of trauma, we often get stuck in patterns of behavior or thought that block us from living lives full of deeper meaning. The good news is you can change that, and I can help.
My experiences in education have formed my beliefs about learning and development. Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a tutor, a teacher, and a writer. I also worked for years at education focused non-profits, both in Missoula and abroad. It instilled me with the belief that people can change.
My love of stories led me, earlier in life, to get a masters degree in creative writing from the University of Montana. I still love to read and write, but becoming a counselor has shown me how important the stories are that we tell about ourselves—and how we can reauthor them to make our lives better.
Like most Montanans, I also love to spend time outdoors, trail running, skiing or floating the river with the family.
